In the heart of Tuscany, in Gaiole in Chianti, stands Borratella: a family estate immersed in 5.75 hectares of vineyards, 2 hectares of olive groves and 75 hectares of woodland.
At 350–380 meters above sea level we grow mainly Sangiovese, flanked by Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera. From our 200 plants comes an intense and elegant extra virgin olive oil.
The calcareous soils allow the soil to breathe even in the hottest periods, while the woods surrounding the rows cool the grapes during the night, favoring the balance and quality of the grapes. The vineyards, exposed to the South, South-West and South-East, benefit from ideal light.
Renovated in 2017 with modern technologies to best face the climatic challenges.
Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in tonneaux and French oak barriques.
Borratella is a family project and a love for the land: every harvest is an act of care and respect towards our territory.
