Ruby red color with purple hues. Harmonious aroma of red fruits such as blueberry, cherry, accompanied by floral and slightly spicy notes. Rightly tannic, broad and balanced flavor. Long and fruity aftertaste.
GRAPES: Sangiovese and Cabernet
SOIL: South-East exposure at an altitude of about 350–380 m a.s.l. Very rich in stone, predominantly alberese (limestone) on a moderately clayey base.
VINIFICATION: Grapes harvested at full ripeness, maceration on the skins for about 18–20 days with frequent pump-overs, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
MATURATION: In barrels and second- and third-passage barriques for 12 months.
REFINEMENT: 4 months in bottle.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18°C
PAIRINGS: Excellent with pasta dishes with meat sauce, grilled meats, and young cheeses.
